Jamie Salmon
Dance Judge
Jamie Salmon currently resides in New York City, where she teaches ballet and coaches dancers of all ages and levels across multiple dance genres. She received her classical ballet training at the North Carolina School of the Arts, the School of American Ballet, and The Joffrey Ballet School, and was mentored during her teenage years by the legendary Gwen Verdon and Bob Fosse. This foundation led to a successful performing career spanning ballet, contemporary, jazz, and commercial dance across theatre, film, and television.
Jamie is, or has been, a member of faculty at several prestigious New York City institutions, including The Ailey School, Broadway Dance Center, Ballet Academy East, The Joffrey Ballet School, Peridance, and Pipeline Dance Training. Early in her career, she toured extensively as a faculty member and judge for major dance conventions and competitions throughout the United States and parts of Canada. Highly sought after for her coaching expertise, Jamie now works closely with young dancers and professionals nationwide, teaching master classes and coaching soloists and groups in all genres for competitions and performances.
